Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Medicare is supposed to be a government-funded aka single-payer health care program, not a menu of insurance industry products. How is it that AARP-UnitedHealthcare and all the others are able to slap their logos on pieces of junk mail and even use the word “Medicare” to describe the half-dozen or more different insurance policies they’re selling?
Is Medicare some half-ass government-funded health insurance with no prescription drug, no vision, no hearing, and no dental coverage, or a corporate welfare program for the insurance industry? How is it the insurance companies are making money sending reams of junk mail selling a half-dozen or more different “Medicare” policies?
